I advise patients with chronic liver diseases not to take any supplements. The absorption of nutrients in food and beverages is always preferable.
Most of us are exposed to TV shows or other media that teach us about one essential supplement. We run to the health food store and buy the supplement without changing feelings or illness! There are hundreds of nutrients. It is challenging to remember which foods contain what, so the right way is to consume varied foods, mostly from plants, preferably organic and not genetically engineered. Along with controlled sun exposure, you will not need any supplement (unless you are vegan), nor will you have to strain and look for what nutrients are missing in your body!
