Addiction to food and eating most often occurs in childhood or adolescence, a susceptible and mentally vulnerable age. Food and eating addiction often directly connect to unresolved traumas that reside in the Subconscious.
Awareness and memories usually begin only from the age of two onwards. In contrast, the subconscious Mind is active almost immediately after birth. There are even claims that it is active during fetal development. My granddaughter suffered from trauma in kindergarten at the age of only one year and three months, which caused her to have uncontrollable hair pulling (trichotillomania). The problem was only restored after she left for a remote kindergarten.
