Grapes and watermelon are especially rich in glucose-type sugar, while the rest of the fruits contain mainly fructose-type that is digested in the liver. Diabetes and insulin resistance are more affected by unnatural sugars (synthesized) and glucose. Natural sugars in fruit in a reasonable dose are also allowed for people with diabetes. The problem is usually with free sugar in cakes, cookies, ice creams, etc. Sugar substitutes that are not natural are not recommended for use.
