Acupuncture may well help patients with fibromyalgia relieve various symptoms; however, many treatments are needed to feel a significant change. Acupuncture is an excellent tool for treating fibromyalgia, not an exclusive treatment tool, but in combination with other self-healing techniques. Acupuncture treatments are sometimes excruciating; the pain does not result from the sting but from energy entry into a blocked energy channel (meridian).
