People with diabetes most often use artificial sweeteners that do not contain sugar. Is the use of artificial sweeteners harmful to health?

I recommend that people with diabetes use only natural sweeteners (although they are not calorie-free): Honey, date honey, carob powder, maple extract (no additives), or stevia plant extract.

Non-natural substances are perceived by the body as" external invaders" and are broken down by the liver, which is forced to work hard in the modern diet. Artificial sweeteners are calorie-free but a lousy alternative because they put a lot of strain on the liver and kidneys. It is advised to avoid artificial sweeteners. Natural sweeteners do not aggravate T2D.
