I recommend people with diabetes avoid processed and industrialized food and beverages as it is highly inflammatory.
Food cooked in a central kitchen often has the properties of industrialized food. Sometimes, the freshness is not maintained, and the quality of the oils and products is often not the same as home cooking. For diabetics, I recommend avoiding prepared, processed, and industrialized foods altogether. I understand the difficulty of bringing food from home, but the investment is worthwhile.
