Since there are no clear indices of liver function, it is necessary to perform many blood tests such as ALT, AST, ALP, ALBUMIN, BILIRUBIN, GGT, PT, and LD, as well as imaging tests and examination of the various symptoms. The chances of misdiagnosis are higher because the tests do not give an unequivocal result. (As happened in my case)
Since the liver is not a pain-sensitive organ, the body's alarm mechanism does not exist. Therefore, diagnosis of the functions of the liver is sometimes critical. In the absence of a single-valued and reliable index, the experience and concentration of doctors are required. I was lying in the hospital (in the urology ward) with liver enzymes ALT A AST at a level 6 times the maximum, without any special attention from the doctors.
The next post: I am a chronic liver patient. Why is a horrible body odor constantly wafting from me?
