People's life expectancy increases as their metabolic load decreases. Eating in moderation, especially easily digestible foods, lowers the metabolic burden. Although it is a significant factor, it is not the only factor. A healthy lifestyle, stress, anxiety, and loneliness are equally critical factors. The comparison compared to previous generations is not necessarily correct! The amount of stress and anxiety increased, and dietary habits mainly changed for the worse, with a high amount of processed and industrialized foods.
