Practical issues regarding CKD patients.
Constipation is often the result of an unbalanced intestinal flora typical in chronic patients, including CKD patients. It has far-reaching health consequences. However, prolonged use of laxatives is not recommended. The healthy way to return to natural bowel movements is a varied diet without processed and industrialized products. A diet rich in dietary fiber, natural probiotic bacteria, fats, and natural oils and a sharp reduction in the consumption of animal foods is recommended.
