Going down the stairs puts the whole body weight forward and presses on the prostate. Prostate massage is essential, as it is an organ with a weak blood supply. Walking (especially prolonged walking) produces an excellent massage of the prostate, an organ that suffers from a relatively poor blood supply. Improving blood flow to and from the prostate is critical to chronic prostatitis recovery.
