The liver is a large and complex organ with a dual vascular supply system and the production of a liter of bile fluid per day, which is of great importance in the digestive processes. Due to the anatomical structure, penetration into the liver by surgical means is much more complicated than cardiac catheterization. Medication is often ineffective, as the blood supply to the damaged liver is also impaired; most drugs load on the liver.
