The thought that we might discover the secrets of human existence is false because, otherwise, people would not be motivated. The vast amount of information from extraterrestrials will change many mindsets. Still, it will not solve all the riddles of free will, whether we live in a simulation, and many other questions that have preoccupied philosophers and researchers. As long as the riddle of the purpose of human existence is not solved (it will remain forever), there will always be room for religion and faith.
The question of free will, the essence of human existence, will remain unsolved after encounters with advanced extraterrestrials.
These issues are related to the philosophical question of whether we live in a simulation. The problem is that this question does not and will never have an unequivocal answer.
