I believe an encounter with extraterrestrials will occur in the next decade or two. As for the public's reaction, I can only try and guess! I estimate that the public's initial reaction worldwide will be problematic for all religions. Gradually, I appreciate that the people will realize that there is still a lot of uncertainty and that someone (or something) had to create the aliens as well; therefore, there is a God! I believe religions will survive the initial crisis created and adapt to the changing world. Religions have wealth, influence, and a lot to lose.
