I share your view that we will have a historic encounter with superior extraterrestrials who possess vast knowledge within a few decades. At the same time, I estimate that extraterrestrials will provide us with groundbreaking technologies, not drugs, as you mentioned. The explanation is that drugs are limited to a few mechanisms, while integrated technologies can handle the repetitive feeding of the different systems, something that drugs cannot do.
