When you are very weak and ill, you have no bargaining power. While the environment does not prey on you, it does take advantage of your inability to change things.

The next post: I returned to the bargaining phase of the 5-phases model of grief (the third phase in the Kubler-Ross model), only at a later stage after realizing that I was recovering.
