There has been terrible suffering with the pains of a person rotting while alive. There were situations where I told myself and others that I would rather die, but I never gave up and kept fighting for 15 years until recovery. The main reason I stayed alive was hope for healing, knowing I was doing the right things to recover, even though the recovery was slow and very difficult. The second and main reason was the deep love I got from my Chinese partner and the chance to live an everyday life with love.
