Discussion: Does Divorce While Treating Chronic Illness Impair Your Chances Of Recovery? (My personal story)

I divorced at a late age, at the height of the terrible liver disease, knowing I was in the recovery stages, though very prolonged. Divorce is often a complex physical, emotional, and financial process. However, divorce sometimes also allows for opening a new page and disconnecting from the spouse who has created crises. In my case, the divorce helped the recovery because, to recover, it is necessary to release the spouse with whom you could not have a good relationship. It isn't easy to start a new life without ending previous relationships and seeking the energy needed for recovery. Of course, everyone is in a different situation, and my particular case does not attest to the rule.
