Although addictions are widespread, there is no clear explanation of what causes them; it explains why weaning treatments are usually unsuccessful. The explanation for addiction lies in the subconscious and is related to unresolved traumas that impair the flow of energy in the form of a reward mechanism that produces addiction.
Unfortunately, I am very skeptical. No drug has been found that can cure unhealthy lifestyles and diets, stress, and anxiety. No single medicine cures chronic acquired diseases, autoimmune diseases, cancers, or addictions of various types. I think there will also be no such drug in the foreseeable future. But there is hope that technological means will imitate a healthy lifestyle and diet. Medications intended for patients with acquired (non-genetic) chronic diseases are all designed to alleviate and relieve the symptoms; these drugs were not originally intended to cure any illness or addiction! Due to the lack of philosophy of medicine, many people develop false hopes!
