Discussion: Am I a lesbian because my father abandoned us at a young age?

A father's abandonment has a powerful effect on the mental-energetic dimension, especially if there are traumatic events. However, the thought that it causes women to become lesbians is unlikely.

The energetic model does not rule out this possibility but explains only a meager lesbian case rate. There is usually no connection to the abandonment of a father or male figure regarding sexual orientation. Sexual orientation is an energetic trait that we are born with. The environment usually has only a marginal effect and only in borderline cases.
