Unpleasant body odors are common among patients with chronic diseases, not necessarily chronic heart diseases. The patient must be aware that he may smell terrible. (I reek of rot)
The subject is well known to me as someone with acute, chronic liver disease. A stench of rot wafted from me. Patients with chronic heart illnesses must bathe and brush their teeth before bed. In my view, it is allowed to say everything. The question is not only what we say but also, and especially, the way we ask.
