Chronic patients, not only IBD patients, must be aware that they often emit unpleasant odors, and most of the time, the person does not smell themselves. The subject is well known to me as someone with acute, chronic liver disease. A stench of rot wafted from me. Patients suffering from IBD must bathe and brush their teeth before bed. In my view, it is allowed to say everything. The question is not only what we say but also, and especially, the way we ask.
