Should countries encourage and incentivize organic farming?
11/11/2022 5:12
Organic farming is significantly more expensive than other crops due to biological pest control and avoiding GMOs (genetic engineering). Organic products that are not sprayed with chemicals are healthier and prevent morbidity. From a long-term economic perspective, countries must incentivize farmers to switch to organic farming, whose products are much more expensive. (Usually also look less attractive in the absence of pest control)
